Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, saying, "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:35-39

That's a pretty tall order. How can we do it? Just as our love for others grows stronger and deeper over time, so it is with our relationship with God. For our love of God to grow, we must spend time with Him, not just in prayer or meditation, but also in gathering in fellowship and studying His Word. In the Scriptures, God reveals Himself to us. And, the more we know Him and begin to understand His love for us, our love for Him and others will grow.
