Fellowship

Our newly commisioned Fellowship Team is hard at work, coming up with plans to help draw our church family closer together through various recreational opportunities.  Some plans already in the works:

• "Theme Nights" to serve as conversation starters for our Lenten Dinners.
• "Astros Night" at Minute Maid Park, April 11.
• Line Dancing Night, date TBA.  Come alone or bring a partner... we'll have the floors polished and the music playing for all!  (With a dance caller to help those unfamiliar with the steps.)
• Friday Family Movie Nights - Fun for the whole family, with little ones invited to come in their pajamas and snuggle with their favorite "blanky."  Starting June 6, we're meeting most Fridays during the summer (check the calendar to confirm a particular date) at 7:00 p.m. in Founders Court, with free lemonade and popcorn and a family-friendly movie.
• Church-wide Picnic, date TBA.

Find Your Path, Share The Journey

This summer, our Outreach Team is inviting all members to help spread the word about the great things that are going on here, while at the same time sharing their summer activities with the whole church family.  It's easy, all you need do is:

1. Purchase a T-shirt (available in the office during the week or the Commons on Sunday mornings)
2. Wear your T-shirt while you're out and about or on vacation and take a picture of yourself in it
3. Turn in your picture to the office and we will post them on the Art Wall on Main Street (in the FAITH Center)

You can be a walking billboard for LUMC while you have fun... be creative!  We look forward to seeing your pictures.

Gamers

This group of fun-loving folks meets each Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the bell room to share a few hours of dominoes and other games, swap a few stories and enjoy one another's company.  We bring beverages and snacks to round out the offering... all that's lacking is you!

Music

Whether you like to sing, play an instrument or simply enjoy the gifts of others who are musically inclined, our Music Ministry has something for you... click here for more details.

Serendipity

Over 50 and looking for others who share your "seasoned" perspective on life?  Serendipity is our informal seniors group that schedules monthly activities designed with your unique point of view in mind.  Potluck dinners, day excursions, holiday events and more are just a part of what you can expect; contact Dot Osborne for more information, or watch the quarterly Cornerstone or weekly worship bulletin announcements to see what's currently planned.  To see the events scheduled for 2008, click here.

Spaghetti Supper

This year's church-wide Spaghetti Supper, hosted by the Horizons and Visions adult Sunday School classes, was February 9 and was a great success!.  Check back in early 2009 for information regarding next year's dinner.

Looking for some good, clean fun with your fellowship?
Our Recreational Ministries team invites you to participate in all open activities in Asbury Hall (and elsewhere!).  We are currently featuring the following weekly activities (please check the calendar to confirm that regularly scheduled activities have not been pre-empted by special events):

• "No Impact" Fitness Class for all ages
  • Sundays, 6:00-7:00 p.m. in E202-E204
  • Wednesdays, 7:00-8:00 p.m. in Founders Court
• Open Coed Basketball, most Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in Asbury Hall
