Spring Fling and Fun Run

This year's annual Spring Fling family event* was Saturday, March 29, featuring a 5K Walk/Run for the Word, games, food and more... Pastor Ben, Pastor Chap and Papa Eddie spent time in the dunking booth, everyone enjoyed the bounce houses and petting zoo, and the weather was glorious!  Join us again next year for more great times (details available in early 2009). 

Sizzling Summer Fun

Summer always brings one more thing to LUMC… FUN, FUN, FUN!!  Here's the 2008 brochure to tell you all the faith-filled, fun ways we spend our summer... once you've looked over the brochure, click here for a preschool registration form or here for an elementary school registration form.

Vacation Bible School

VBS for 2008 has been scheduled for July 14-18 and registration is now underway here (or you may click here for the preschool registration form, here for the elementary school registration form or here for the volunteer registration form, Adobe Reader required).  The cost is $10 per child, which includes a T-shirt and music CD.  This year's theme is God's Big Back Yard, and one parent (or other related adult) must volunteer if registering a preschool child.  For additional information, please contact Adrienne Hernandez or Peggy Launikitis.

Fall’elujah Fall Festival

This annual family event* is offered as a safe Halloween alternative for families of all ages and includes a (non-scary) costume parade, Trunk-or-Treating, face painting, a moon walk, an adult chili cook-off, music, games and more!  This year's festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 25, and more details will be available late summer or early fall.

Upward Basketball

No one likes "sitting the bench," so we've joined a nationwide basketball program that allows all children equal playing time in a fun, Christian atmosphere.  Participants (boys and girls in kindergarten through sixth grade) can develop athletic skills while growing in the Word, as weekly practices include both physical and spiritual elements.  Please contact Eddie Erwin for more information.

Birthday Party for Jesus

Held in conjunction with our children's choir program as part of our annual Advent offerings, this family event* has yet to be scheduled for 2008.  Past activities have included cookie decorating, crafts, trimming our Socks and Mittens Tree and our Bear Tree, snacks and more!  Check back here in late fall for more information.

Boy Scouts of America

For over twenty years, we have sponsored Boy Scout Troop 469 and Pack 469.  (Click on each link for more information.)
