We encourage you to place written prayer requests in the offering plates, the prayer box in the Narthex, or on the altar in the Prayer Room; additional blank prayer cards can be found in these areas.

PLACES TO PLUG IN
T-shirts are on sale Sundays in the Ark and the Commons for the remarkably low price of $10. Spread the word for Lakewood by getting yours today!. All proceeds will go towards the production of an audio New Testament in Kimeru, the dialect spoken in our mission area in Kenya.
We are looking for lost or misplaced equipment. If you have any miscellaneous TV remotes, cables, etc. that don't belong to equipment in your Sunday School Class, please return them to the office.
Have we heard from you yet? You can still help make an enormous difference with a pledge to our "No Debt But Love" campaign - $1.3 million has already been committed, and if we can reach two million dollars, we can save over $3 million in future interest charges! Commitment cards may be turned in to the office or dropped in the plate, with gifts payable any time over the next three years.
A seven-week Bible study on parenting, led by Pastor Trammell and Jackie Dummer, continues Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in Founders Court. All are welcome and no prior registration is required to attend.
Our Children's Sunday School schedule will be modified June 1 through Aug. 17, with three classes for school age children, and we need YOU to help for a Sunday or two; please email Gretchen to volunteer. We will have an orientation meeting on May 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the Loft for all summer time helpers.
Join our women's Bible study, "A Woman After God's Own Heart," written by Elizabeth George and led by Heather Nagy. The class will meet on Tuesdays from June 3 through August 12, 9:30-11:00 am. Child care is available, and you can sign up in the Commons on Sundays through May 4. Questions? Contact Heather.
Boys and Girls Country, caring for kids in crisis, will host their Spring Festival on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with barbecue and entertainment throughout the day at their Hockley campus. Call 281-351-4976 for more information.
LUMC Children's Choirs will present their spring musical, A Technicolor Promise, Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in Asbury Hall. It is an infectious, lively and fun musical about the flood, Noah and his family, and God's promise. Featuring musical styles from ballad to jazz, it "promises" to be a colorful experience!
Sunday is a new member joining day for those who would like to come forward in the company of others. To find out more about our church, call Pastor Trammell at 281-370-2273.
Please stop by the Commons on Sunday morning at our Prayers and Squares table of quilts, to remember all the brave soldiers who are giving so much for our country! We need your prayers tied with love and care around a ribbon of red, white, and blue. During World War II, Eleanor Roosevelt carried the following prayer in her purse: "Dear Lord, Lest I continue my complacent way, help me to remember, somehow out there a man died for me today. As long as there be war, I then must ask and answer am I worth dying for?" We invite and encourage you to reach out with a silent prayer before these quilts are sent to our troops.
